hey, i wasn't really looking but happened to see these on midway for sale. Definitely need to stay under $100.

    CTS-25 1 x 3.25 MOA
    https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1023267528?pid=976103
    List Price: $79.99
    Our Price: $64.99

    CTS-103 1 x 4 MOA Red / Green
    https://www.midwayusa.com/product/102257808?pid=464105
    Our Price: $129.99
    Sale Price: $59.99

Wondering if either of these would be worth getting for a 9mm carbine. Just want to try one out on the rifle.

Of course i have read a lot about the TRS-25's and that is running $70.70 so not much different. Any help would be appreciated.

    Rick.

I have one of those. It's on my new Marlin 94. It has auto shut off, so haven't been able to test actual battery life yet. But other sites state a one year battery life.

Thanks, i wasn't sure since it didn't say auto shut-off on Midway. But it is on massive sale so it could be that bad. Have you zeroed it or is it that NEW :innocent0

I bought the optic before the panic last year, it's been on "sale" since they've been available. I'd put it on the same level as the TRS-25. For the money, it's worth the gamble.

I'd say quality has to be suspect at prices that low even when not on sale. I have had a few TRS 25's and find that some work well and others don't but it is really a crap shoot. They usually last until the return period is over unfortunately.
