Of Particular Interest to FFL Users of FBI NICS E-Check
We have received a communication from FBI NICS regarding use of specific internet web browsers that could impact your connectivity.
“Any FFL that is not using a web browser that supports Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2 will be blocked from LEEP/E-Check access. Most updated browsers have this TLS 1.2 update already. Please verify the browsers you are using to access LEEP/E-Check have been updated.
To check if your browser can handle TLS v1.2, select https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/viewMyClient.html to open the SSL/TLS capabilities of your browser web page.
Click on Continue.
Once the page completes the test, scroll down to the Protocol Features section. If Yes is displayed next to TLS 1.2, your browser will continue to work as it currently does with Talent Suite applications.
Thank you,
The Business Relations Team"
