I use Taran Tactical extended basepads for competiton. Not sure how many rounds of 9mm, but 20+1 rounds of 40!

Yes sir, I have that exact one on my M&P, it's made by Speed Shooters Specialities, it's slick.

The magwell is IDPA and USPSA legal, the basepad is USPSA legal. Shooting isn't all about how you look :lol2:

blazin... respectfully, i must disagree. some guns put out a lotta sexy... and when they go bang....mmmmmm. really tho. is there a competition application/need for those capacities ?

i see the beveled mag well opening i get that. but the enormous mag? and whats basepad referring to?

Not sure if serious, or just trolling... Maybe you are just not into competition? All these things combine together to shave fractions of a second off of your time, which could mean the difference between a win and a loss.

And only an anti would argue as to what the practical application of more rounds would be...

Good grief those are expensive! That's going to hurt my wallet. You have me wanting to build an M&P that can fill the ESP/Limited or even Open role after seeing yours at the last match.

Where did you come up with four? The standard mag is 17+1, which makes this 6 extra, and the one in the OP was +10.
