    Thank you all.
    Could someone tell me what restrictions there are for bringing a carbine into MD for a class.

    Hi Matt !

    Before jumping into that question ; I will channel my inner Eruby ( well known member here , and a great guy ), and ask ;

    So Matt , tell us a little about yourself .
    What flavors of firearms interest you ?
    What shooting/ hunting accomplishments are your strong suit , or which skills are you looking to develop ?

    Hello, I'm a retired Union Carpenter out of Phila. and occasionally work armed security.
    I've trained in the Martial Arts since 82.
    I'm a pretty fair gameshot and we have a deer camp just South of Morgantown WV but also hunt Wheeling and Salem county NJ.
    I love the M1A and have shot service rifle (club level mostly).
    Pistol qual twice a year but I am commited to learning to run the AK this year.
    Seems like a real good bunch of guys here.

    Meanwhile back at the Carbine questions , there are flow charts for this .

    First Question ; Have you, personally you , owned it before Oct 1 2013, and continously since ?

    If Yes - Congratulations , you are Grandfathered.
    If No - We need to look at it's post '13 legal status .

    From your above Post about wanting to learn AK , is this an AK-ish rifle or a ubiquitous AR ? Or somthing else ?

    The AK is a Norinco 56S-1 that I bought before the Clinton ban.
