So I'm in the process of tinkering with an AR clone (pre stupid laws, of course). Bought a new bcg for the setup. Replaced the old one but can't get the new one to retract with the charging handle. Put the old one back into the upper, no problem.
Then I noticed that the new one is actually a M-16 bcg as opposed to an AR-15. (Nice disclaimer from Wyndham on the bag attesting to the legality of using said BCG in a semi-auto).
I haven't looked too closely so can't see if something is hanging up. Is this a common issue? I thought that they were interchangeable?

    Thanks in advance...

I have m-16 bcgs in all my rifles, without exception the guns run better with them.

Check the fitment of the bcg in the upper while apart from the lower without the charging handle in- and then mate the bcg's gas key to the hole in the charging handle just to see if everything looks good.

It's a windham bcg? Phosphated or is it plated or melonited or something?
