Can anyone point me in the right direction for ammo cans. I have been searching but all the ones I find are in bad shape. Looking for .50 FAT .50 and maybe .30 cans. Saw some at Continental but that was before they expanded. Anyone know if they have any there or at any other shop around. Want to see the condition for myself, looking for excellent condition or close.

Don't know what you consider excellent but, don't be put off by the paint being a bit "oxidized". Ones with some some powdery looking paint clean up really fast by spraying them with WD-40 and wiping them down.

I have a 200 round 7.62 like new ammo can I got from the Fredericksburg gun show that I bought with 500 rounds of .38 Special in it. Point is I have been trying to give this thing away and no one wants it. I even put the thing on ebay for FREE ( $0.01 with buy it now ) just pay the shipping and no one wanted it. I think there's too many ammo cans around today and people just end up giving these things away, and in my case, you can't even do that. I watched a bunch of auctions on ebay and nothing sold.

Cetmeman, this one is free, just pay the shipping if you want it, I'll wrap it in my heavy brown shipping paper well and it's yours, for free. I can't imagine this thing costing more than $5-$7.00 to ship. (the dust id free too)

Just a heads up the cans at Gun Connection are very nice and reasonably priced. I'm always happy walking out of there. IMHO can't find nicer people either.

$15 sans shipping is not what I'd consider a good price. SportsmansGuide had a good 2-for-1 deal for a while, but I think that's over with.

Shipping is a real killer for a lot of the online deals; I honestly think your best bet might be to wait for a York or Dulles show and buy from there, or to buy your ammo cans along with large purchases of ammo. Example: I can buy a case of IMI .223 and get ammo cans at ~$12 a piece (shipped) from Wideners. I mean, hell, if I'm buying a case of ammo, I'll need some place to store it anyways, right?
