Scope mount is an ARMS#18. The mount was originally the solid rail newer ARMS type. I sent it in to Warbird on the M14 forum, and he modded the mount by cutting out the center portion of the rail, and reparkerizing it. I'm not sure why ARMS went to the solid rail type of mount because it's my understanding some M1As can have ejection problems because the ARMS mount sits so low. With the old style split rail, there is no chance of a case getting hung up.

Hey nice LRB, VNVgunner. Is that yours?

By the way, the other good thing about the ARMS mount is that it is considerably lighter than the other mounts out there. The Smith mounts are super heavy. Every little bit of weight savings helps, especially by the time you add on a scope and pop in a full 20 round mag.
