First of all, sorry to have to ask. I searched for a long time and didn't find the answer.

    Second, MD laws suck.

I have a chance to buy a mini 30 tactical, but it has the collapsing and folding ATI stock.

Mini 14 (.223) specified is extra special evil and a big no no in MD.

Would the folding stock make the mini 30 no go, or OK since not mentioned in MD law?

should be fine, not mentioned and not the same as a mini-14

    tapered or skinny barrel?

If it's an older one you might consider replacing the hammer spring with a wolff replacement, the older stock springs tend to have trouble with steel cased primers of the harder variety

It's only about a year old. It's newer series tactical with the stout barrel.

If it has a folding stock, then it cannot also have a flash hider. If it has one it can be replaced with a muzzle brake or thread protector.

OAL with stock fully extended must also be > 29". (I don't think that's a problem but through it in just in case)
