This new bolt gun action seems like the best of everything, except the price tag, but what do you think?

Good point. I guess this is geared more toward the tactical/competitive shooter market. It incorporates the best of Mauser, Springfield, Remington, and Savage.

Looks like it has all the preferred features you could ask for except for 3position safety and AW mags. Price is not too much more than other custom actions but if I understand correctly this action would not need a smith for barrel installation.

Ive done a bit a research on this action and have talked to the owner and several noted gunsmiths... Make no doubt it, the Mausingfield is a precision made device whose tolerances are far inside that of other custom actions.

The old addage of a Chevette and Corvette works well here. Even better yet, how about a Taurus and a HK?

I am not sure if the toroidal thing helps, but for me, I love the fact that it can take Savage pre-fit barrels. If you plan on shooting barrel burners, having the ability to change barrels yourself makes life easier and cheaper. Its value is only really known by the buyer but there's no doubt this is a NICE action.
