I'm going to be out of town this weekend but the last Frederick show was a waste...down to one building. I hope this reverses and vendors start coming back which brings customers with money.

And this is one of the reasons that MD shows have spiraled down, people put the show down because "its small", "its only one building", "they didnt have the pink polka dot unicorn i was looking for". Yes the shows have gotten smaller but so has the attendance, with the politics in MD it's hard to get more vendors to come. Now im sure the promoter could go back to 2 or even 3 buildings if you wanted every other table to be beef jerky, tube socks and neck warmers.

How about instead of everyone mocking or putting down the shows in MD, we try and bring something positive about them. Post about the part or ammo you bought or if you got a deal on a gun. Part of the onus to make these shows better falls on us. Theres always next time, til there is no next time.......

People would be more positive if there was something to be positive about. Many vendors themselves have dropped out of marylandistan shows because of the onerous rules in this state. NSK is about the only guy who will put a few cans of powder on the table as others have been scared off.

Gun shows in this state are dead, they just don't know it. Until there are changes in ANP, it isn't going to get any better.

Well...….a friend and I went to Fredrick this morning, I took two rifles to find new homes for and my friend was looking for a Ruger carbine. Sold both rifles before lunch and found a couple Orion7 recoil springs for the M1's. My buddy who has been eyeballing the Ruger for about a year now found the best price at SCSG table and finally bought it. We both had an excellent day!

I'm glad you had a good show. I doubt I'll ever go to a MD gun show again. The last four or five have been complete busts for me. Granted, I'm not likely to buy a new gun each time I go to a show, but I can't even go in to a Bass Pro without walking out with $100 worth of stuff. I buy lots of small stuff. And the MD shows just don't have anything I'm looking for anymore.

This. The biggest reason I have to go to shows is to scout deals on Eastern Bloc magazines. The Wakandan People's Republic of Maryland's capacity ban means I have no chance of scoring good deals on Soviet bakelites or nice x39 mags, and so I have no reason to go to any shows in-state other than to simply look.

I'm going to be in Frederick tomorrow, so I might pop in anyways. Maybe someone will have a decent deal on 7n6 or steel-core 54r spamcans.
