I traded into a Tradewinds K-608 chambered in 223. It was made by Krico in Germany and is a beautifully blued rifle with buttery smooth jeweled bolt with a metal box magazine. When I received it, it had incorrect scope mounts which were no where level and the plastic bolt dust cover was split. Thanks to the interweb I found correct Recknagel scope bases and an aftermarket aluminum bolt dust cover. The original plastic dust cover appeared to be a friction fit, the aluminum replacement not so much. The dust cover fit onto the back of the bolt and where it fit were 2 small grooves; the furthest being .0184" from rear of the bolt housing face. I drilled and 6-48 tapped the aluminum cover at that distance and placed a set screw into the hole so the tip of the set screw fit on the groove, producing a tight fit. Not wanting the possibility of any locktite getting into the bolt, I set the screw and then placed a small amount of locktite in the hole. This will allow removal if required by removing the locktite with a dental pick. Pretty simple project compared to others, only serves to restore the little rifle back to its former original state.
