What would be the process for this? Since they are only imported in pistol form I'm assuming I would need a HQL to take possession and then do all the other SBR paperwork to put a stock on, is that correct? I know you can shoulder braces now and not get sent to Guantanamo but I prefer a "real" stock. Just trying to navigate marylands legal waters, a neverending quest I know!

Yes you would need a HQL. Then you would fill out the form 1, get your fingerprints and photos done, and pay the $200 fee.

You also have to make sure it will have an overall length of 29” or more to comply with Maryland. That means you are going to need the 11” or 14” model. I’m pretty sure CZ counts the muzzle device in their length measurements on their website so the 8” 5.56 and 9” 7.62x39 would maybe just make the 29” mark depending on your stock choice but it would probably be close and I wouldn’t want to spend that kind of money only to find out I’m short.
