I like this, paraphrased,"sight fixed to the barrel keeps if from changing relationship with the barrel during slide cycling". Maybe I missed something but what about the rear sight...lol. Not custom fitted. Standard long linked Colt barrel, quick ground frame tangs at the grip safety, slide impact surface way forward or the frame dust cover has been drastically shortened for the recoil spring plug, and the list goes on. And after all is said and done, a 5" would be the same size, probably lighter and with a match barrel better fit. Those accuracy tuners were prematch barrel days.
