Hello all. Former Maryland resident that left Frederick in 2010 after the economy tanked. Headed south for work and recently returned north to do some contract work in Virginia for Uncle Sammy. I'm currently running out of Middle River, MD.

My interest started with WWII and grew from there. Growing up in the mid-to-late '70s and '80s only furthered that interest with such wonderful Sunday morning children's programming as Rat Patrol on WBFF TV45. Right now, anyone who remembers that station is singing out the stations jingle in their head! But back then, it was quite common to see plenty of day-long marathons of good old WWII movies to pass a dreary fall or winters afternoon.

Since then my interest has primarily centered around the Vietnam-era. But just about anything can grab my interest depending on the mood.

I've had the opportunity to catch up with old friends I hadn't seen since moving south and they've filled me in quite a bit of what has been happening in MD while I've been away. I'm not impressed to say the least. So with that, I'll open the floor to any questions.

Are you asking a question or wanting questions to be asked? This reads like some half-chan posting.

I'm 50-50 Scots-Irish. There is no "chan" in my family. I was making an introduction and offering some background. The "questions" comment was just for conversation purposes.

Thanks. I'd like to but my work isn't a PCS. Only temp. I will be voting, just in another state where a well-trained (literally!) Marxist is aiming for Governor.

Georgia? Yeah, don't let that happen!
    Welcome back
Actually Florida. A well-trained and well-funded socialist named Gillum is running for Governor. This guys economic plan essentially bankrupts the state requiring it to pass an income tax just to fund his idiocy, not to mention gets the state hooked on the Federal "gravy train". There is a blog run by someone who probably does more FOIA-level research on leftist individuals and groups than anyone else. For the youngin's out there that came about after the Soviet Union supposedly collapsed, lefties like Gillum were actually trained in "schools" indoctrinating these dipsticks. I'd post a link to a story on Gillum's background, as well as the blog for those interested but I'm not really sure about the rules. If anyone wants it, I'll post it provided its okay to do so. LMK

Sure you can post a link. Sounds like it may be an interesting resource.
