    Here is the stock class 9mm 1911 I have been working on...a pistol in progress. Lighting no so good but here goes. So far I have refined the grip safety and blend area, cleaned up the area around the trigger guard, blended the magwell, round butted the magwell, mainspring housing, and frame, reserrated the bottom of the mainspring housing, stippled the front strap, inletted the grips for the magwell.

    I have to finish the stippling, refine the magwell/butt blending and finish the area around the trigger guard. Then it is on to the rest of the frame, lockwork and then the slide assembly.

    Another update. I performed the listed upgrades.
    - fit the hammer face so it was absolutely flat on the firing pin stop;
    - flattened and stippled the mainspring housing;
    - added Novak adjustable rear sight with corresponding front serrated sight;
    - fit a full gunsmith fit barrel to the pistol.

    The pictured target was shot at 25 yards, standing, using 9 rounds of 124 grain Blazer Brass. 2" center to center. Other targets at that distance showed similar groups of 4 - 5 shots woth called fliers. It ran well with one jamb from a suspect magazine...a tap on the slide and I was shooting again.
