    I just bought the Walmart Simmons spotting scope and used it successfully
    Out to 200. It would go further I'm sure using splatter targets. Beyond that I'd look at Konus and Celestron.

    A really good spotting scope is not needed most of the time unless you are trying to see .223 holes in the black at 400 yards or .30 holes past 600 yards or more.
