Not sure if this is the right forum section for this but, here we go.

Looking at getting a Sterling MK IV Sporter. Basically a Semi-Auto version of the Sterling sub-machinegun but with a 16" barrel.

Is that legal in MD? Can I get it or should I pass?

NO! The Sterling MK IV is the full auto SMG. The MK VI is the semi auto version of that SMG and is BANNED. We are talking about original British made Sterling here. I have no idea about whatever Wiselite makes but if it's a carbine and not a pistol, I would assume it would be banned as well.

The Wiselite is not banned. I checked with MSP in Pikesville. No flash hider, over 29" and 9mm. It's good to go. Not a copycat and not listed by name. Mine went out of state but I did check before I posted it.
