He said not enough tables rented nor customers to make it viable anymore. :(

I assume that internet sales and dwindling C&R supplies will kill off most gun shows sooner rather than later.

I think it's more due to the fact that every single Silverado show I've ever been to has been 40 old Fudds selling their lever-action and shotgun collections for twice the rate you'd even see in a brick and mortar store.

In this area, Nation's Gun Show in Chantilly combined with the Military Collectors event in Baltimore and the shows in Gettysburg along with some fairly reliable auction houses within a couple-hours' drive just sucks all the air out of the room so that a mediocre event like Silverado just doesn't survive.

    Now in Tennessee ,
I remember his shows when I was in College and they rocked , They even had some Heavy Hitters in Class3 set up , I went to one about a year or so back and I couldn't find anything worth spending any money on.

Frank could be on the rude side but he's stalwart for the 2nd Amendment and put his money where his mouth is. He fought the dark forces...he usually won the battles but has lost the war. Once the People's Republic passed the magazine round limit and the so called "assault weapons" ban the handwriting was on the wall for all to see. Vendors from outside the state stopped coming in as they didn't want to run afoul of the stupid laws and also didn't want to cull their inventories of what would be illegal to sell in Maryland so gun shows got smaller and smaller until they've been unprofitable to hold. The day is likely coming when they're a thing of the past totally in Maryland...which was always a goal of the gun banners here.

I liked the PG one. There were lots of cool surplus trinkets there. I got my first surplus rifle off of Lou there in 2011.

Frank could be a pain in the ass when running a show but his ass was on the line. I had some lengthy conversations regarding gun rights with him and he was truly a 2A Patriot. He will be missed.

While I may or may not fit "your" definition of a Fudd , keep dividing man! It was never gonna last in this area anyway. Times have changed, the small venues in places like Parkville or Annapolis, even Howard cannot compete with the internet sales or Chinamarts.

I went to many a Silverado Show and bought plenty of items over the years. I always appreciated them stopping activities to do the Pledge of Allegiance. I'll miss them. Even if you didn't buy anything, they were fun to walk around, and always more entertaining that staying home to cut the grass.

It's kind of sad, but not unexpected. I went to the ones in Frederick and Howard County sometimes with my father or my brother. I did enjoy walking around and looking at various things but as previously stated the prices were kind of high and selection was not as good, not enough to Warrant an entry fee to buy stuff above market value. I still enjoyed walking around the shows though. But, it is Maryland so things are limited, and the internet has been dealing a blow to many businesses, not just a gun businesses
