    I'm interested in this as well. I don't need a 224 but I want one.

    To tell ya the truth really disappointed in both my 224 builds, have tried everything from 60, 75, 80, 82 & 90 grain stuff and can't get any to group worth a damn, Rainier Arms has offered to replace their barrel and haven't been able to get JP on the phone. The internet rumor is the JP's 1st batch of barrels are having problems.

    Sorry to hear you are having issues. Out of curiosity, have you checked the throat in the barrels? Could it be that the jump to the rifling is too long? I am really interested in building a 224 on a bolt action platform.

    No, I have not checked the throat on either, Since Rainier Arms 22" are out of stock I decided to try a BSF 24" which will be here tomorrow. I also got JP on the phone and they want me to send it back to them.
