The CCP is back. Fed Ex delivered it this morning. Other than the invoice, a chamber flag and two Walther stickers in the box with the gun with it's new dot on the bottom, all the same. Now to get to the range for some happy time. We'll probably go to either HTC or TMGN.

Reviving this for those who might have a CCP that needs the recall repair done and to update after a trip to the range a couple of weeks ago.

Prior to the recall work, I used 115 gr FMJ rounds in this without any troubles. Since the recall I had two fail to feed with those. I also fired some 124 FMJ and had no problems with those. It was suggested I might have been limp wristing it which caused the feeding problem. That might be. The hand grip is a little small for my liking (wife's gun). At any rate, I bought a case of 124 FMJ for range use. I already had 124 JHP for the HD loads.

I cleaned it after I got home. It seems that the spring behind the take down pin is much lighter than it was before the repair work. This time it was very easy, if you call using the special button tool easy, to retract the pin and remove the slide. Just that change is a big improvement compared to the struggle I had before the recall work was done.
