Continuing to divide .gov and citizens?
VA citizens can already carry, this bill would allow FF/EMTs to carry while on duty.
Reading is comprehension.
The LTs, CPTNs and other firehouse management in New Orleans are armed. Just too many drunks , druggies and crazies in that city assaulting fire and EMS responding to help them. Administering narcan can really piss off a junkie.
Hey, there you are! Good to meet you the other day.
A better bill would be that FD, EMT, and PD’s right to carry is only legal as long as the public also has a right to carry.

I suspect most fire and rescue organizations in VA will restrict their employees from doing so.
In MD we already have armed EMTs and paramedics. They come with a green/black helicopter.
By law, they're already allowed to carry, but work can restrict them, this bill would circumvent that.

As for the troopers... well if you're lucky you're in an area near a hanger and they'll get to you in... 20-25 minutes lol
The public does have the right to carry.
