    Hi everyone,

I am new to this forum and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Ed Hershon. I am an attorney in Annapolis and I am going through the permitting process now. Of course I have not heard from MSP yet, and don't expect to for a few more weeks at the earliest.

I have been doing a lot of research on the process with MSP and the HPRC. Interesting processes. I am a supporter of 2A rights and feel that Maryland is overly restrictive of those rights of its citizens.

Welcome! You now have access to hundreds and hundreds of non-lawyers who can give you excellent advice. I only partly jest, of course. There is a wealth of practical experience here, on everything from MD's byzantine permit laws/processes through which primer to use in which reload and the care and feeding of the rare Mid-Atlantic Chupacabra.

It's a pretty friendly crowd, with a lot of genuinely wise folks, never mind our collectively odd sense of humor. Keep us posted on your progress with the MSP!

Greetings, what type of law do you practice?

I had the opportunity recently to meet Ed and talk quite a while, in fact he met us at the Patriot happy hour last night before the HPRB meeting and fit right in with Swinokur, Mr. Ed, Jim Boy and myself.

Ed is a big 2A guy and is well versed with our situation here in the People's Republic. I would highly recommend his services for anyone in need of representation before either the HPRB or the OAH if MSP decides to appeal any of the board's rulings.

I second Stove's recommendation. I met Ed last night as well.

    Ed gets it

Welcome aboard. We need more 2A knowledgeable attorneys. Have you considered becoming a MDS Industry Partner?

I practice in a variety of areas. I handle construction law, family, traffic, DUI and have been reviewing the the issues involved with obtaining a CCW. I have now attended several HRPC meetings.

If anyone is having issues with a denial or lifting a restriction, please reach out to me.

    Thank you.

After attending several HPRC meetings, it seems a pretty straight forward process. I disagree with the rational for having to go this bizarre route, but at present, it’s the law.
