I am looking to see what you guys might know here. I have and LED Lenzer h14.2 head lamp. Its really great, but I bought the red lenser filter for it and that kind of sucks. I don't want to buy a different head lamp as this one works great, except it white light.

I have the cap for the red filter and they just gave a red glass lens to sit in it. The Glass lens doesn't fit it tightly and still seems to let a lot of white through it. I want to get a new material to make a replacement red lens for this same head lamp. Where I I get stiff filters or soft filter I can stick on custom cut glass or plastic?

You might be able to use a gel from a stage light. I bet your local high school might have some scrap gels laying around. Amazon has lots to choose from. Cut to fit and you could even stack multiple layers for a darker tint. Just an out of the box thought.
