Hoping for a good summer sale and rebates. Thought about getting another 1895 for a field gun when Hog Sniper had his last sale.

Really would like a good price on one of the laminate stainless models.

I have the Marlin 1895GBL. My wife asks me why I "need" such a rifle. I said to prevent bear attacks. She quickly responded, when the last time a bear was sighted in Calvert County? I said exactly, just having it ready if needed scared them off. 45-70 may seem kind of silly but they are really a fun rifle to shoot. And the 45-70 is an easy caliber to reload, brass lasts a long time. Just wish I had a backyard range like Hickok45 has, than I would be knocking down iron targets all afternoon long.
