I have one of these guns which has been “repaired,” or at least a mark inside the receiver and a check of the serial number on the web so indicate. The trigger pull measures seven and one half pounds. The gun is presently with a local gunsmith for reduction to a four and one half pound trigger pull. I have not heard back regarding any safety concerns.

I have emailed Weatherby and expect a reply next week, but would be interested in any comments here.

    Regards
    Jack

    Jack,
The trigger pull on the SA-08 shotgun is between 6-8 lbs and unfortunately cannot be lightened.
    Thank you.

Have not heard from the local gunsmith.

    Regards
    Jack

Gun back from local gunsmith, "trigger not adjustable" but "polished" can't say there is any difference.

    Regards
    Jack
