My Dad has an old .22 rifle that we can't figure out. Not sure where we got it but are hoping someone here knows what it is. It has some hand carved wood work, single shot and a hex barrel. There are no markings that I could find...

    See pics..

    ANYONE?

    Thanks....

I have a couple of Flobert rifles that look very similar to yours (sans the carved stock).
    That would be my guess.

Thanks guys! Appreciate the info. Is there any other links that show this rifle? Any more details on it? Is it worth anything or have any value? Just curious...

Currently GunBroker has several, starting at around $150 . Not safe to fire with any modern ammo , value is as collectable / wallhanger .

I have one, tiny and light.
They are 6mm Flobert, not 22RF. They were made for "Gallery" shooting indoors and "Garden Guns"/pest control.
RWS, Fiocchi, Dynamit Nobel, and Sellier & Bellot still make it. You can find 6mm and 9mm at Midway and Graf's.
The interesting thing is the makers and sellers mark it both 6mm/22 or sometimes 6mm Flobert/22CB Cap. But, the guns were designed around a low pressure copper cased cartridge, not .22 RF pressures.

Mine has a flip up breach very similar to your top one! Actually might be the twin. Buried in a safe and too much trouble to dig out.
