    Hello all,

I thought a little intro would be nice... I'm 54 yrs old, retired US Army Armor Crewman(M60A3/M1A1 Abrahams). I have had the honor of serving this country, I am a firm believer of ALL that our forefathers implemented to protect the citizens of this country from an oppressive Government.

My reason for joining, I have always had weapons and I have always wanted to get into reloading... so, here I am. I just bough a small inexpensive shotshell reloader to begin this chapter..

I am looking to perhaps meet new friends and broaden my knowledge in regards to the reloading hobby(I say this as I don't believe there are any major cost saving or at least that is my initial impression).

Hope to have some great times, learn a bunch and overall be blessed to be alive and free to enjoy all I can.

    Thank you for the add..

Welcome! Reloading cost savings may be minimal; however, by tracking your reloads you can load based on your preferences. Additionally you may find benefits down the road. Also, during colder periods, and down time, reloading can fill any voids. Cheers, fred55

    Welcome !

While we do focus on Maryland politics , MDS does discuss all aspects of the firearms and related hobbies , and we have members from everywhere .

The Reloading question is several discussions in itself .

Welcome ChujckyCheese and thank you for your service. Longtime hand loader here. We are handloaders not reloaders. Been handloading since I was 23 now I'm 62. Years ago I loaded 12 ga. shotgun shells with MEC equip. I'm basically a cartridge handloader. My equip. is RCBS and Hornady. Many calibers pistol and rifle. A great magazine I subscribe to is Handloader. It has been around for over 50 yrs. the only magazine on the market of it's type. I not only save money, but my loads are far more accurate than factory loads. Especially my long distance rifle calibers. Good luck handloading!

Check the "sticky" thread in the reloading section. They have some good resources in them.

Welcome from .... Well just Maryland I guess....

I have in-law family in the Akron Canton / Cleveland suburb area, for which we make several pilgrimages.

I like Ohio, however retirement there isn't really an good economic decision.

Whatever you do, stay out of Maryland if you have any want or need to move.... Any firearms you have may no longer be yours.....
