    Hello all,

At the ripe age of 33 I have decided to try something new. I'm from Louisiana but have been in this area for the last 10 years. I will finish up my field training class this weekend and then I'll be good to get my hunting license. I purchased my first rifle last weekend, was a savage axis 2 30-06 that dicks had on sale for 250. Does anyone know of any ranges in the area that i can get it sighted in at?

Myrtle Grove in La Plata, 100yds with benches. There's a pay box there, it's $5 whole day or $20/year from the Maryland DNR website or Wal-Mart. Target stands are provided, bring wooden clothes pins just in case and paper targets.

Prince George’s county covers 500 square miles. Knowing what part of the county you are in will get you some better recommendations on the ranges close to you.

As stated earlier Myrtle Grove in LaPlata. In Forestville is Maryland Small Arms which has a 50 yard indoor rifle range Fred’s in Waldorf has an indoor range but I am not sure what calibers you can use in their range.
These will be the closest 3 ranges to you.
