From a gun show. Can anyone ID it as real Brit ammo box or was it after made?

Not familiar with that one, but I have a WWI era one for a 'Colt potato digger' that is made of wood and has a brass handle and latch. My grandfather used it as a tool box for small items. look at a 1917a1 ammo box.

*****I actually saw a few of those for sale in the U.K. some years back. They didn't have any guns for sale, but old ammo boxes were available! There was a military surplus type store that had some really cool stuff: helmets, goggles, lots of insignias and patches, old ration tins and kits, and old clothing and jackets, etc.. I spent hours in that place just looking around. It was just a small hole in the wall shop out in a farm town during our tour. That ammo box would look really cool in a retro country home or workshop.

That looks interesting. I'd be interested in one for the right price. Redecorating my man cave. All of the sports memorabilia has been taken down, so I'm looking to reinvent the space.
