Here’s a rearsenaled 49/56 with proper scope and mount. The scope came from a timonium gun show some years back. The seller always had the most interesting stuff, incl the SSG82 earlier posted. Around this time i bought a 1000 rd case of french ammo from AIM. long since gone from the mkt. the sign is from the engine room of a mideast freighter, broken up for salvage. These rifles are really nice. Simple to maintain, compact. The scopes less simple to zero.

Good looking setup. If I remember correctly, the sellers name was John.

Nice that scope set-up is probably worth more than the gun itself!

So true! The APX L806 is bringing anywhere from $650-750 today. Surprisingly there are NOS carry cases for them with the tool still available for cheap. I'm so glad I got the last scope that Lou had back when they were only $200-250. A spur-of-the-moment purchase that I normally don't do, being an obsessive planner. Glad I did that time!

This one was costly 5 years ago. But came with the leather case and a tool.

Great and scarce combo. I like the oddball weapons. Do you have any Berthiers to go with it? They're cool like Vetterlis and 1891 Mausers.

I found 2 Berthier m16 carbines at an eastern shore auction some time ago. No one was interested so i took them home. Removing the bolts was interesting. Can’t imagine doing it in the rain, at night in a trench.
