I've never seen an M1 carbine with a Mannlicher. I don't hate it and it's not irreversible... but that optics mount. Please tell me it's not JB welded on.

Another one that screams “why”.
Pistol version
Monkeying with the barrel length on a 1911 raises engineering challenges which can't be ignored.
I mean, it's not a *true* bubba. How else are you going to shoot rifle calibers off a 1911 frame? FWIW "Raptor" is the European label for that one. It's call at Tangfolio "Thor" here in the US.
.308 single-shot break-action on a 1911 frame.
Daayyumm, I looked that up and found they made it in 30-06, 300WM and 45-70. How many rounds would a 1911-style frame last with those stresses? My wrist is getting compression fractures from just thinking about shooting something like that, and the muzzle blast must be like staring into the sun.
I guess if you want a handgun that's ammo compatible with your Garand, maybe it's reasonable?
Now for some reason I just have to have one.
GB last week... early byf/43 (Mauser) in the d-block
If he hadn't gone with that hideous color combination (the blue really "pops" LOL), he'd have something there. The work was done well for shortening the barrel, adding the front sight to the slide bridge and shortening the grip and magazine. But apparently several people liked it since it sold for almost $800, which isn't that far off from an original one in nice shape.
