    OP again.

Did a google search of knife sharpening businesses in AA Co.

I have a Lansky system (somewhere!) but thought I'd search the net anyway.

Lo and behold there is one The Grinding Company less than a half hour from me that charges $2 per knife to sharpen, and they have 15 positive reviews.

I'll be seeing them when I have some spare time.

the burr benders trailer is usually parked by homestead gardens(either off rt 2 in severna park or further south below naptown). I personally just grab the lansky diamond kit and wham-bang an edge on everything I get. Often times factories heat up the edge and jack the temper up a bit. I've had a few knives that start to hold much better edges after a few hand-sharpenings and I suspect it was just grinding through the jacked steel that did the trick.

With the diamond kit, it's pretty quick to put a mirror edge on something...maybe not for something like s110v/s90v, but even s30v sharpens right up. M4, s110v, s90v...they take a bit more work, but they would on anything.

I have 5 or 6 Kershaws, and have had an Ososweet for several years. It is almost disposable as others have said, but I use it probably 20 times a week and it's been great. Awesome bang for the buck. And I believe Kershaw still re-sharpens free for life if you can't do that yourself.

    OP here (again).

I just received from Amazon a Kershaw Link 1776.

The edge is vastly superior to the Oso Sweet.

    It is 420HC steel.

I don't know if that is why or the fact that it is made in USA but it IS shaving sharp.
