Anyone shoot an A.H. Fox shotgun here? I always thought my 870 was the best thing going until I inherited a Sterlingworth. It is so light and easy to shoot. I take it out trap shooting when I get some time off. What I would really like to do is go grouse hunting in PA or WV.

I've got a couple, 1918 AE grade and a 1921 XE that is being restored. The AE is one of my best shooters and is a lot of fun on the sporting clays range.
You should give your Sterlingworth a try at sporting clays, you will have a blast.

The Fox collectors have their own website with lots of good info. If I had a few thousand burning a hole in my pocket, I get a graded gun!

54rndball, nice looking Sterlingworth, enjoy shooting it.
Marko, just regular walnut with nice grain. The silver stuff is just the heavily engraved metal, originally the guns were casecolored but the color fades over the years leaving a silver finish.
