    Hunt With on purpose during firearms season = 6 in minimum, ft lb requirement

    SD while bow hunting = 6in maximum, no optics allowed , no ft lb specs.

    That DNR person must have misunderstood the question or was just referring to the regulation for deer hunting with a handgun, which is the 6" min. length and min. 700 ft-lbs. of muzzle energy. Or just plain wrong.

    Actual Bear Hunting on purpose has the same requirements as "deer hunting " , now more properly known as "big game" .
