    Have this checked before you fire it. Heating hardened steel to high temps can cause it to lose its temper. Your eyes and face are not worth risking

    The receiver on the 500 is aluminum. After seeing what the fire did, no why in Hell I would shoot, own or sell it (the receiver). Your face your choice.

    I would at the very least get a new barrel to replace the one that was in the fire.
    Too risky to try and shoot it IMO. Maybe you should also have the reciever checked out by a gunsmith just to be sure?
