Had just came back from our Disney trip and saw this m27 offered up by a local gun shop, bid and won. Picked it up yesterday an it was weird walking through Easton with a rifle. Made in 1931 Tikka barrel with a Remington receiver, matching winged bolt, 2 piece stock with an updated front bayonet lug with popsicle supports. Already have a front sling swivel and just need to get a sling.

Know what you mean re walking thruneaston with a rifle. Couple years back parked my car a few blocks from albrights. Walked in and bought an enfield. Asked the boss whether it would be ok tomwalk with it to the car ( i was thinking of the swat team resulting if it was balto) and he smiled and said, yes, it’s easton. Nice rifle. Finn envy.

Nice looking Finn, congratulations. I still love these rifles but am seriously thinking about selling most of my collection.

I will post them here first of course.

I would take one of those Finnish M91s. Let us know when and if you make up your mind.

Eastern Shore seems to hold quite a few M27s.
I found one last year from a private seller in Dorchester. Missed out on one a few months later in Salisbury. Congrats on your find. I love the winged bolts, make sure to keep in free of dirt and snow!

Do you have a finn barreled m91?

I will have to check. For some reason I seem to have lost interest in my C&R stuff.

Edit: Yes I have a VKT M91 manufactured in 1924. I will have to locate it in one of the safes to check overall condition and to get some detailed photos.

Have you discussed your feelings with a mental health professional?

No mental issues just changing priorities as I get older. Possessions seem to mean less to me. I cherish the memories of how I found/acquired my collection more then the items themselves.

The items that mean the most to me were acquired while searching with friends at countless gun shops on very long road trips. The others were found online searching countless websites. I have already sold off most of my run of the mill M91/30's.

My collection has gotten out of control, I have not sold more than a couple of rifles even when I upgrade. I am getting ready to sell off a bunch of stuff, mainly run of the mill and lesser condition ones first.
