Don't know if this is a dupe and don't care. Got this from the American Suppressor Assoc:

Legislative Alert: HR 7468 - To amend title 18, United States Code, to impose prohibitions...

Earlier this month H.R. 7468 was introduced by Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD-8). The bill titled Stop Home Manufacture of Ghost Guns Act of 2020 has the stated purpose "To amend title 18, United States Code, to impose prohibitions relating to machines designed for the manufacturing of frames or receivers for firearms." The bill was pre-filed on July 1, 2020, but the text of the bill was only made available this week. The bill would broadly define a host of commonly used tools as "firearm manufacturing machines" and criminalize their possession and use by anyone other than a licensed firearm manufacturer.

You left out one major key word, "primarily". The sentence reads: "... intended to be used primarily to make ..." so your end mill, drill press, even your CNC machine should all be in the clear. Other than commercial machines designed to manufacture guns, I can't think of anything else intended to be used primarily to make, or convert a product into, a frame or receiver for a firearm.

I'm sorry but this Jamie Raskin guy is a moron and can't be taken seriously!
Really you are going to try and ban something that has been legal since well pretty much the beginning of human existence? Good luck with that! People have always been making their own personal weapons. Law or no law this isn't going to change. The rate of non-compliance with stupid ass laws like this will only increase exponentially as time goes on and technology advances. It does not take a genius to understand that! Clearly Raskin is not the sharpest tool in the shed. Heck people now have their own personal milling machines and 3d printers. You gonna try to outlaw those too? These are the same people that tried to ban information and blueprints which is protected by your 1st amendment rights. Idiots! I've just about had it with this stupid state! Per our founding fathers it is your duty to defy tyrants and tyranny. Liberal gun grabbers have already lost the game years ago. The world does not belong to them. Never has and never will! It belongs to us the people!

Don't underestimate Raskin, he helped ram FSA 2013 down your throats. He's a schmuck but no fool.

Did y'all miss this also goes after reloading gear?

this is step one. step 2 is background checks for ammo. step 3 is limiting the amount of ammo someone can have.

There is no duty to obey or enforce such unconstitutional and unenforceable infringements. I am NOT a lawyer!

    Of course you're correct.

However, it will come down to whether the person who is ordered to enforce such a law feels that he or she has a duty to his/her family to continue in the employ of the department which pays his/her salary.

You might be unpleasantly surprised at the outcome, especially in states such as Maryland. Or not.

Exactly, most people always have an honorary commitment to those who butter their bread at the end of the day, not so much towards morals and ethics, as history will always prove.

Election year pandering to their base; can't pass the current senate, but a warning to purple states. If we loose the senate and presidency, this and more are certain to be upon us. Would be the equivalent to the orders in Atlas Shrugged, the Constitution be damned. The conceal carry states may consider secession again
