Shot this one today in Cambridge. Pretty old deer, 9 point busted up. Not a tooth in his mouth

I passed on 7 doe and 2 small bucks, next weekend I'm not passing lol.

Nice buck. We didn't see anything yesterday. Come to think of it there wasn't a whole lot of shooting going on either. Maybe next weekend.

Didn't get out in the am, didn't get anything in the afternoon. Had one buck working the area in front of my blind when I was heading in, but he wandered off before I could get a shot on him. Had a second buck follow some does in right before dark, but he had an antler snapped off. Would have only been maybe a 6 so hopefully he makes it till next year.

It occurred to me today that I had never shot a deer in the snow before. Then it occurred to me that if I succeeded, I'd have to haul it out on a sled. My tractor would not negotiate the trip back out of the woods.

So, I still have never shot a deer in the snow.

Seriously, that's a nice deer. I've never seen one that old in the field. I'm thinking he let ya Kevorkian him.
