Next time someone says this to you, point them to CA where this is very much the case.

    https://oag.ca.gov/firearms

A slew of new egregious laws and rules took effect today and there are more on the way. The Firearms Policy Coalition has a recap of the new infringements places upon CA residents here: https://www.firearmspolicy.org/cali..._every_gun_owner_should_know_before_january_1

Among those are forcing ammo sales to go thru authorized dealers only, requiring home-built guns have serial numbers on them, and forcing registration of “assault weapons” before July 2018. Unregistered “assault weapons” can be confiscated after that time and the owners criminally charged...

To add, guns with bullet buttons are now considered “assault weapons” there.

Always look west because it’s what they try here east.

I have two middle fingers up in the air for California.......Maryland can get them too. Moving out of this dung heap of a state before Fall 2018.

    They don't care about criminals.

Criminals are not a problem for them: if anything, criminals are the good guys.

"Every cop is a criminal, and all the sinners saints..."

For many Maryland legislators, every career criminal represents at least one client and about a dozen or more voters.

Dillon should be selling a lot of their Blue Presses and reloading supplies to Cali residents.

Same for RCBS and Lee before the Libs realize the loophole.

As for their “bullet button” law, it’s a magazine release and it was ruled allowable under 2012 court ruling.

Even simpler is to ask the question: what national gun control group did not support TOTAL bans in recent history, eg DC?
Every single gun control group, wither by being a party along with DC, filing Amicus, issuing statements in support of DC as it fought heller, has supported complete bans for law abiding citizens, and effectively said that even with full background checks, training and mandatory gun safes they still fight for total bans.

    • Every bloomberg group (pick your name de jour)
    • law center to prevent gun violence (now giffords law center?)
    • Violence Policy Center
    • Brady

ALL of them. After they got background checks, training in a jurisdiction then fought tooth and nail for total bans as well

From Uncle Sam's Misguided Children on Facebook:

So, this is currently on the cabinet of our local Walmart. A friend of mine went to buy ammunition here today.
The state has sat on their hands, and nobody can purchase ammunition in California now, nor can you buy it online. This is what true tyranny looks like. When the state of California can just shut off ammunition sales instantly. Stores cannot sell ammo, nobody can even purchase ammo to protect their lives if they wanted to right now. It is actually illegal for this store to sell customers ammo right this minute. This is scary.
Thanks Democrats, governor Brown and the American hating liberals who voted for this. You’ve successfully shut down our 2nd amendment today.
Oh, you can have guns, but you can’t have ammo. Nice.
I hate this state . It no longer is part of the United States. It has turned into a liberal utopia and hell hole . The US now only has 49 states, and that number is even questionable.

California, Starting in 2019, anyone buying ammunition must pass a background check.

Wonder if this includes adjoining states.

Drive to free America, buy ammo, drive back to the sanctuary.

PS: Seems like the reloading industry should relocate to CA. Roll your own.
