Outside of the presidential campaign, no. Used to have a good number early in the evenings.

I've been seeing a few flying around in the evenings here in Eldersburg.

I haven't been out enough to really compare numbers to previous years.

Man, all these Western Shore people posting in the Eastern Shore forum about local bats. As for DelMarVa, Wicomico County has plenty. The bats feed around the poll light every night.

Not yet, but hopefully will tonight (I often watch them fly at dusk in my backyard). Anyone had success with attracting them with bathouses? I would love to have more of them, but haven't done anything to purposefully make that happen.

Girlfriend's place is not far from Cecil County in Delaware and we see them there during dusk. They are really more than rats (mammals) with wings. I forget how much one can eat in an evening but they certainly help keep the bug population down. On another note, Fort Delaware on Pea Patch Island is a sanctuary for bats. Before you walk into the fort, they have visitors walk through disinfectant to help control White Nose. You aren't sprayed...it's only on the soles of your shoes.
