Hi All, my wife and I are headed to an event Friday evening in the Upper Marlboro area. We're going to head down early from northern Baltimore County to have dinner before. Any recommendations on a decent restaurant? Thanks.

If you are coming down RT3/301 there is a good place in Bowie called Rip's. It is about 10 miles north of Upper Marlboro.
    Winning!!

A buddy was in town for the Bowie High 40th re-union, and I met him for lunch at .................... Rip's

One of the last of the Jurassic Park restaurants, solid American fare.

I was a bit sour that I broke my vow to never return until the roof gorilla came back.

I grab lunch from the take out counter at Rips sometimes. The big shot sandwich is good and so is their macaroni salad with jalapeños in it.

If you go to Rips order a bourbon and ask them to smoke it for you. It’s free, kinda cool, and a nice touch!
