I know some individual stores take driver's license info for black powder sales. Is it a store thing, or a State thing?

I'm really wondering about primers and smokeless powder, though.
Does Maryland collect log book identity info for powder and primer sales?

    No on primers.
    State thing.
Fire marshal requires all powder sales in the state to be recorded.
Not all stores do and last year a bunch of stores had their licenses pulled and had to remove all powder.
This only applies to black powder and smokeless powder.

    Free America
The internet for large orders. Grafs.com, wideners.com

Walmarts in WV on my yearly trip through have been a gold mine. Otherwise, Basspro for the occasional financial sodomy.

Walmarts in Wv have reloading supplies, really? I'm heading down to harpers fairy soon, I guess I should check the one there in Charlestown.

My local sources have been gun connection for some primers, the gun shop for some powder primers and lead cast bullets.
Bass pro has it all, and at a premium price.
Gun shows are Normaly good, normally, but I mostly go to pa and va shows.

Online I like grafs and midway for non hazmat supplies.

I went to Harrisburg PA recently and when I stopped in the Gander Mountain I bought a pound of IMR 4895. Guy behind the firearms counter just handed it to me and said I could pay "up front"

Remember, local dealers have to pay the bills to keep the lights on so you will pay a little more. For only a pound of powder I buy local. For quantity it is hard to beat Powder Valley.
