I have a Beretta 1934 .380 as well as a Dan Wesson revolver that were passed down through the family, but I have never before bought a new gun. I'm leaning towards a Beretta 92/M9 or something along those lines. The only problem is I really don't like spending that kind of money on something without knowing if I am going to like the feel.

My question is, is there a range or a generous person around the Berlin/OC area where I could rent one or take one out for a spin? The only range I am aware of is in Berlin, and last I heard they didn't have a pistol range anymore.

Delmarva Sporting Clays outside of Salisbury does rent some pistols. But I don't know what makes or models. Otherwise you have to drive to Dover. Shooters Choice rents pistols and has an indoor range.

Now, does the 1934 have Nazi markings on it? As for buying a new 92F, don't waste your money, used is better. Lots of 92 LEO trade ins for sale.

Looks like there will be a shoot end of March. I'm sure you can find tons of stuff to try.

    Good luck!

Thanks for the warm welcomes. I'll definitely head over and introduce myself.

Good think I asked before buying something. I originally had my eye on a Ruger SR9/c and the dealer is a Beretta guy, so obviously he would lean towards the 92. The only reason I didn't make a purchase was I was hesitant on spending the extra $200+ on something I didn't know anything about.

Nope. From what I can gather it has Italian Army markings.

    **EDIT**
Just figured I'd add that I found someone who has a 92 that is going to let me shoot it! My dad made a couple phone calls to some of his gun club friends and found someone willing to help me out.

PM me your name & phone number. I live near Snow Hill & have a Beretta 92 that you can shoot on my farm.
