OK - I'm coming out of hibernation for this one.

I'm coming in on the 19th and staying at the Omni. The military price hasn't moved much and still rooms available.

Someone let me know what the game plan is for a get together on Sunday. I'll probably be coming from the less than Undisclosed Location out in the west.

If you've stated above that you are staying at the Omni, check your PMs.

It is on MLK Day, which means that federal and state employees have the day off with pay. I encourage such folks to do something for the 2A on that day. Like, show up and support our friends across the river.... Help send lawmakers everywhere a message.

I, too, am at the Omni.

“I cannot attend the Richmond Lobby Day but donated three bus seats. So if you can attend, free ride.” - Conasco

Many thanks to MDS member Conasco for donating THREE round-trip bus rides on a VCDL bus to Richmond for VCDL Lobby Day!

Conasco posted his generous offer here:

    https://www.mdshooters.com/showpost.php?p=5734567&postcount=51

If you were thinking of going but cost and/or driving was a factor you have a seat now to help save the 2A if you want it.

Buses departing from many locations; click here:

If you don't want to drive and can't get to the charters, Amtrak has one morning departure to Richmond and that leaves Union Station at 7am and arrives around 9:30am. Be sure to select Richmond Main Street not Richmond Staples Mill. The train back to DC leaves at 6pm so ideal for day tripping.

There is also a 5pm departure for going down the night before.

Megabus also has a few morning departures from Union Station.

Here's something that presents opportunities on many fronts:

    https://www.citylab.com/transportat...fbbe2JTdlGfFKTlfXw0qXARdaZuVtVsVJu49kg5FmPQ_I

    1. If they are doing rides that day for the anti's, how will they know that you are not part of the "woke" ones going to the anti-gun rally?

    2. You get to use their "woke" asses financially if you get the ride, and then go to the VCDL rally. It's the same sort of monkey wrenching that some of us do by signing up for all of the leftist mailing lists so that they have to expend money on materials just so that they can get recycled.

    3. If you are denied a ride because they deem you to not be "woke", can Lyft be sued for discriminatory behavior?

As I say - very interesting opportunities abound here.

Article is from March 2018 , have they released that they are doing it for this one too?

I took Norton’s point: since at least 2018 these virtue-signaling leftist corporations, Little NYC Billionaires and their anti-gun bigots’ non-profits are pouring big dollars into hauling their human ant farms to these gun-owner control events.

(Lyft’s grandstanding was no doubt a failure; not a word about it since then that they repeated, or intend to repeat, carting around these cheap whiners. Everyone knows leftists don’t tip.)

Point is, free leftist busing is still a thing, and another free alternative form of transportation that they’ve paid for, why not use it.

Current examples from last summer were the free buses of the Red Mommies and the fake kiddie show called March For Our Lives bused to Richmond to support racist Gov. Northam’s Special Legislative Session at the Virginia General Assembly fruitlessly attempting to ram through more gun-control:

They did it again to Astro-turf their support in DC when we went to the Supreme Court on December 2nd for the NYSRPA oral arguments (h/t MigraineMan).

If you are coming to Richmond for VCDL Lobby Day, 1/20/2020 this is a FYI. There is a democrat based move to try and make the Capital grounds a gun free zone for that day. Keep an eye on the news. It’s a short time to the event and hopefully they will be unsuccessful. fred55

Update: they are trying to ban carry on the Capital grounds for the entire 2020 session which includes 1/20/2020
