Not sure if you want to go to PA or not but Race Street Range (http://racestreetrange.com/ , Media PA near airport) was offering several trauma classes earlier this year. The owner, Annette Evans, is a competitive shooter and a great instructor too! I have taught with her a few times for Women On Target events.

PADI has an EFR (emergency first response) class. You can search on YT for the video that is followed up w/ a 1 day class. Topics covered include CPR, first and secondary aid etc.

I took the stopthebleed class last night. The class was taught by Dr. Habeeba Park, a trauma surgeon at Shock Trauma. It was about an hour long and was pretty basic. She taught tourniquet use, wound packing and pressure. They had a dummy log with several injury types and we had to demonstrate packing them with gauze and applying pressure. It was nothing earth shattering but it is what is needed to keep someone from bleeding out until they arrive at a hospital.

It was worth my time and definitely worth the money (free).

Just to put it into perspective, it is only a stop the bleeding class. They do not teach chest seals, chest decompression, sutures, open heart or brain surgery so you won't leave there trained to treat everything.

On a side note, we did not discuss the politics of the instructors but it was taught at Baltimore County Game and Fish to their firearm instructors and RSO's and the staff did not seem weirded out by us.
