So I ordered some stuff from gun mag warehouse (while out of state and received out of state so we are clear). Totally the wrong order. I shoulda opened it Friday when I got it so I could have called them and shipped it back while still out of state.

Anyone deal with them on returns where they screwed up? Their site says shipping is on me unless they messed up. They’ve been good to work with in the past, but I’ve never had them send me the wrong order (it’s my invoice in the box, but none of the mags I ordered).

I feel like I’ve gotta head out of state to send it back too. Maybe MD might not frown on me for returning something, but I don’t need to find out they decide to be A-holes.

So I get to drive out of state twice now. Return the stuff and then pickup my order when they send me the right one. Major ass pain compared to having just ordered it and have it shown up to my (temporary) doorstep. Pretty pissed.

Any idea if they’ll at least pay for shipping back to them? Or am I going to be on the hook for that TOO? I am hoping maybe they’ll agree to ship me the correct order and then I’ll return the wrong one once my order shows up so it’s one long drive.

So it’s legal for me to drive out of state, place an order for standard capacity magazines, and have them sent to someone in a free state? Has that been determined to be gtg?

You can't do it here in Commie MD, but you can go to any gun shop and buy any mag you want and bring it in. You'll need an address it you go the buying and shipping route. I just call an out of state shop, tell them what mag I want and when it comes in go to their shop and pick it up. Perfectly legal. See you in Annapolis for the next 90 session that will try and change decent laws.

Thanks for the info and I understand that I can go out of state, buy, and bring back. I’m referring to purchasing from an online vendor via the internet and having it delivered to a friend or relative in a neighboring free state. Has anyone determined whether that is kosher or not? I hate MD and will be in Annapolis this coming session just as I was last year.

I want to purchase the VP9 mags on sale at the HK online store as posted on a thread on MD Shooters. The sale ends tomorrow, so that’s why I’m asking if its legal for me to order them and have them delivered to a friend or relative in a neighboring free state or no? There were people on here awhile back trying to decide if the phone/computer, server, or online store was the actual point of sale.

This is legal. You are not purchasing it in Maryland.

Update is they emailed me a prepaid label “I sorry for the mess up. Please send it back and we’ll refund you promptly”

GMW is good people, they'll take care of you.

Related incident, I bought an Alpha ASR mount and a Charlie FH endcap from SiCo, and they sent me two of the endcaps for reasons completely unknown to me (plus the alpha mount, of course). I assume they are trying to get me to buy a Saker 556K ASR or something.

Good on them. I really like these folks as they will allow me to buy and send out of State.

Agreed. I can’t help but be annoyed still, but at least they gave me zero hassle on getting it right. And they are one of the few who’ll ship out of state for MD residents. I’ll certainly give them points for that.

Some retailers will balk at sending them to a location that is not in your order record. They consider it a kind of vague straw purchase even when state law says you can own them just can't take possession of them in state.

Also I am pretty sure you can send the order back to them from MD because they allow selling hi-cap mags to someone out of state. Its to help rid the state large mags.
And on that note they may not allow you to get the correct order back except from the location you originally got it at as it might be a case of your account getting hacked. Unless they think you are OK on this.

In this case I explained they sent me the wrong order and what it was I got. They asked who’s order it was and I said don’t know. It’s my invoice, but someone else’s stuff. They said they’d get the right one out to me once I send the wrong one back, but I explained A) some of the stuff in my order was now out of stock, B) I realized I wanted to add a couple things to my order and C) I was only at a rental for a week and wasn’t there now, so I needed it shipped somewhere else (all of that summing up to “I put in a new order this morning already, just need this one returned and my original order refunded).

The guy I spoke with said that was fine. He’ll email me a prepaid mailer and really sorry they messed things up.

A little bummed the new order hasn’t shipped yet, but they are probably swamped with Black Friday orders. Which means I probably can’t get it till Monday at the earliest based on my schedule. Also means I can’t ship the wrong one back till then.

Probably okay to ship it out of MD, but I am paranoid.

Hmmm, never mind. Same story as last time. They shipped it at the end of the day, but the status and "it shipped" email didn't get updated until about 2am this morning. Thursday estimated arrival day (hopefully before lunch so I can get it!)
