So, as the price of factory 223 was dropping I picked up 5 boxes of Remington UMC on a Walmart price drop. Well, last week I had a dud. put it back in to try again and still would not fire. Finally pulled the bullet and zero powder on the inside The primer just barely pushed the bullet out less than 1mm.
I also was totally not impressed with the accuracy either. I have been reloading 223 for about 21 cents a round using bulk 55g fmj for my plinking formula and i was getting about groups about 30-50% smaller groups.
So, I guess I"m back to making up my bulk 223 plinking rounds
