I finally got out to an Axis & Allies Match Saturday. Had a great time and met some MDS members. Weather was a little hot but not unbearable. The match was very well organized and I want to thank everyone involved. Also thanks knovotny and Art3 for posting the pictures and videos. Great shooting everyone.
Can't add much to what everyone has posted except a special thanks to Rob and the young'uns for doing all the walking setting up, putting stickers on and scoring the targets. The math boggles me, but I think Art3, Katie & a couple others walked between 1800 & 2100 yards in the sun!
Aside from switching among three pairs of eye-glasses (and combinations), not being able to do all that walking is an advantage to being an old...
It was a lot of fun. I'm told I took the match with my Smith-Carona 03A3. Shot a 273 out of 300. Not too bad for an old, blind, fat man. Was wondering if we could get an Axis vs Allies pistol match going? We WW2 collectors like to take out our stuff for a spin every now and then. Very friendly, no pressure, fun shoot.
