Y'all need to hold your britches for a second, the PP is not abandoning the fight here in the People's Republic.

As DL said, R&R has been enlisted to report on the goings on in this area for TTAG and what's happening across the river is a huge national story and what happens there will undoubtedly set the tone for legislators in other blue states so YES, it is important that we show the flag in Richmond. The PP started in MD, is based in MD but is not limited to operating in MD. As most of you know we have also been to the DNC in Philly, Harrisburg, the Red Hen (twice), the NRA (three times) and in DC more than we can count.

Last year we didn't have our first Man Up Monday until February and we still made a YUGE impact right up until Sine Die (remember the airplane?) In the meantime we have been very active on other social media getting the word out, check out the latest post on FB that excoriates Del Atterbeary and HB4. I personally spent about two hours last night engaging in a local conservative private group informing them about these bad bills and did a shameless plug for MSI and their bill tracker. Lots of those folks had no idea what was potentially coming out of Annapolis and these are solid conservative average Joes and Janes. Which is another reason to be on places like Facebook and the like but I digress.

We're not going away and we aren't abandoning the home front. There will be Man Up Mondays in the not too distant future so don't fret. There is massive construction in and around Lawyers Mall and our usual prime real estate spot is behind a fence so we are working on alternate locations. Right now Virginia needs us so we are making our physical presence there while continuing the online presence here. And to address those who think that Virginians haven't helped us in Annapolis yes they have, and also residents of DE and PA have come and stood with us in Annapolis.

When we travel to these out of state events not only do we show our support and defense of the 2A it is also a great networking opportunity to increase PP visibility and to be able to speak about what we have done and are doing here in Maryland to a larger audience. R&R and I would not have gotten on NRA TV if we weren't at the Women's March in Fairfax and then in DC the next day. Tom Gresham would not have interviewed us on his national radio broadcast if we weren't at the SCOTUS in December and the PP would not have gotten the mention in the American Rifleman magazine if we would have stayed home from David Hogg's anti gun blabfest.

I am encouraged to see that a lot of you care enough to ask the question and are willing to continue standing out in the cold to shame the critters and speak truth to power and the best way we can do that this week is to sign up and testify on Wednesday in either the House or the Senate and to encourage as many other people as we can to do the same.

We will see you on the bricks soon.

    Yes, Patriots are everywhere.

Marylanders are nothing if not expert in small unit tactics, and just because some Patriots are across the river doesn’t mean Marylanders aren’t forging ahead.

And I'm talking about THIS year.

It is not up to just one man or group of patriots! It IS up to every individual citizen to stand up if they want to keep their liberty! It is not appropriate to call out others for not being there unless you yourself are there and standing up.

I am going to try my best to be there. No more time off from work and fighting this what ever it is going around. Maybe I can hug a few anti's and give this crap to them!

Sounds like a plan. Sharing is always a good thing. :D

Wear your #WWNC gear if you have it. Your presence is worth more than 10 signs leaning against a bollard.

Well said Stoveman. The construction down there is going to mess things up. New tactics are called for, hope you guys figure out something new and different.

    You always do!

Art3 and I will be there all day Wednesday. As someone else has said, the sidewalk is blocked at lawyers mall, and the construction on the rest is still ongoing from last year. We plan to be there very early to sign up early and to submit our written testimony. I expect we will head to Chick n Ruths for breakfast at some point after that. We will stop by our legislators offices, and hopefully get primo seating in the Committee rooms as well. If anyone wants to meet up to break bread, feel free to pm me and we will share contact info.

Is anything going on tomorrow? It seems awful quiet around here :tap:

Well, unofficial protests have been conveniently eliminated by the deliberate removal of any area where protests can impact legislators.

Meanwhile our most effective spokesperson has been banned, effectively eliminating the impact of his leadership on MDS members.

Then the GA has spread the gun bills throughout the session, to eliminate any large gatherings of opponents to their attempts to criminalise the law-abiding gun owners. And don't forget the 90-second time limit to express your views on the subjects at hand.

Districts have been gerrymandered like topological rubber bands to effectively eliminate the possibility of opposition parties getting elected.

So I can only assume that the GA has managed to gain complete control of the levers of power in the state. They do have the assistance of the mainstream media in this endeavor, which takes care to insure that no information that might counter their preferred narratives will not be made available.

The only hope lies with the Supreme Court. Left to its own devices, Maryland is effectively a totalitarian state.

Go ahead and show face in Annapolis. No one in charge has any reason left to listen. For 90 seconds or less. Or to read your testimony, properly prepared in such a fashion as to reduce your opportunity to present it.

If tyranny had a theme park, they'd have to build it in Annapolis.

Let's see what SCOTUS thinks about enumerated rights. It's become obvious that they are the last bastion, even though weakened from within.

Lots of people are going to make their way down to our version of the Swamp and testify against HB4.

We did have a presence there, but it was definitely not at the level we usually bring.

While I do understand the Virginian need, I pray that the Patriot Expeditionary Force returns to MD for the nastier bills to come.

I'm going to concur with Art3 that there are nastier bills yet to come.

If they get their crap together and run bills sooner than later, we lose the ability to run-out the clock with sine die.

I did a quick walk-around at Lawyers Mall, and the central area is completely obstructed with fences and construction. The House side of Bladen St. is closed past the House entrance, and all traffic is shoved over onto the Senate side of the street. There really isn't a good location to stage our traditional sign-shaming. We would need 2x the typical turnout to cover a split territory, and even then the legiscritters could burrow underground and avoid us.
