Family life has been a mess since 2017 (thanks Navy) and things have finally normalized. I used to shoot every week - it’s been 4 years since I even opened the safe.

Any changes in the gun laws I should know about? The only thing I can think of is the bump stock thing.

I remember AR lowers were banned, then regulated for HBARs and pistols.

Can I build an HBAR still? AR pistol? 80%?

I also let my C&R lapse but looking to renew. Anything to know there?

I know I could search by I’d rather not go back through 4 years of posts if someone could be so kind.

    Thanks.

Edit: I meant since 2017. Looking back it seems I still shot in 2017 but I don't remember that time much!

You know about the Handgun Qualification license?

AR lowers are cash and carry; unless you have one from pre-10/1/2013, you have to build as an HBAR or pistol.

You can still build ARs, and use 80% receivers, but the GA will be back in session soon, so don't delay.

C&R is still good; 30 bucks in 30 days, approximately. Again, beware GA.

Consider joining MSI (Maryland Shall Issue). Meeting December 7 at AGC, you can join then and get an update on what you may have missed.

    HUH????

AR lowers require a 77r and a waiting period.

AR HBAR RIFLES are cash and carry.

    This.

Since the fire arm safety act of 2013, no there hasn’t been a ton to screw us over. That may change this session. Legislature tried to push through a bill banning unserialized firearms (80%/ghost guns) as well as a long gun qualification license, no more than 1 per 30 day purchase limit, 7 day waiting period and banning private sales.

Expect that’ll come back up again.

Vote and make sure to let your state delegates and senators hear from you.
